& Optimization Plugin

Objective:

Identify, size, and place building‑integrated PV (BIPV) on façades/roofs to maximize energy yield and/or ROI under geometric, planning, and esthetic constraints.

Rhino/Grasshopper is used only as an example platform. The core framework is designed to be adaptable, and parallel versions can be developed for Revit, SketchUp, or a Web-based client, depending on project needs and integration contexts.

Heatmaps on geometry

H_POA (kWh/m²·yr), shading frequency, incidence angles

Energy & Econ reports

Annual/Monthly kWh, specific yield, CAPEX/OPEX, NPV/IRR/payback; export CSV + PDF

Layouts

BIPV panels as blocks with metadata (ID, area, kWp, facade/roof tag)

Optimization

Pareto front plots (kWh vs payback, NPV vs coverage); slider states for best candidates
